Program aranžmana
08:00 Breakfast in the camp
08.00 After a night in camp or after arrival to the camp, we recommend you to begin your day with traditional breakfast and a coffee on the terrace of a restaurant by the river. Your driver will join you, or better said your safari guide, who will tell you all the details of today’s outdoor adventure. No one knows better Zelengora Mountain and its secret natural beauties than our national park’s licenced guides.
Because in Yugoslavia time some of the Sutjeska National Park parts were closed to common people.
10:00 Let's head to NP Sutjeska
10.00 We go from camp by off-road vehicles to Sutjeska National Park and Zelengora Mountain. After a half an hour ride, we pass through the village plate Prijeđel, which has a kind of natural phenomenon. Due to its specific geographical position, rainwater, which flows down the house roofs, usually ends up in two different parts of the world. Raindrops from one side of the roof end up in the river Drina, which leads them all the way to the Black Sea, while raindrops from the other side of the roof end up in the Neretva River, which is part of Adriatic basin.
11:00 Relax at Tjentište
11.00 We come to the administration centre of Sutjeska National Park in which area is located the significant monument of the World War II. Where we check in to the national park’s ranger for the pass. The communist monument is known for its beauty and size and it is definitely a place worth visiting. We planned a break there for rest and taking photos.
12:00 Zelengora photo Safari
12.00 We continue our road to the plateau Čemerno, which gives a wonderful view sight on the Lebrešnik Mountain, known by its geomorphological speciality. From the passage, we hive off to macadam road to lakes of Zelengora Mountain. Not long after, we pass next to the well of Neretva River, one of the most beautiful rivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mountain roads lead over green carpet of Zelengora to mountain lakes which are here called “gorske oči” (mountain eyes). Some of the lakes are next to the road, while some require hiking to get to them. First, we come across the Jugovo Lake. Riding through Zelengora, we come across amazing “katune”, cottages, where cattlemen live during summer and take their stock to the mountain.
14:00 Orlovačko lake
14.00 We come to the mountain lake in the foothill of Orlovac and Ljeljen mountains. Orlovac Lake is a real pearl among mountain lakes of Zelengora and one of the most visited destinations. Break for lunch is planned on the coast of the lake (lunch packet) and a short break because we are only on the half of the road.
15:00 Palež
15.00 We continue our safari adventure to the place Palež, entering in the heart of the Zelengora mountain. We go to the other side of the mountain by off-road vehicles, watching mountain tops one after another. A long time ago, these roads that we use were a part of important traffic, and today, it looks like the time stopped – just so we can enjoy in natural beauties of the Zelengora Mountain. As we approach the place called Miljevina, we slowly leave the mountain beauty behind us, joining the highway again.
16:00 Caves and sand pyramids
16.00 We come to Miljevina, a mining place, known by a movie “Walter Defends Sarajevo”, which one of the parts was taken there. Riding through Miljevina, we go to the village Šljivovice. There are two most known speleological objects in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina nearby, Lednica cave and Toplica cave. After a half an hour ride, we come to the village Dančiće, widely known as sand pyramids. Sand pyramids in Foča came from soil erosion, creating a real masterpiece and a natural monument. Near those monuments were made films about Vinet and Captain Leši.
